Aim & Objectives
The aim and objectives of this newly formed Society is to promote knowledge, expertise, organize training courses, workshop, CME and Scientific seminars for the Cardiologist and other healthcare Professionals of home and abroad to raise the standard of Interventional Cardiology practice for the proper management of the cardiac patients along with the co-operations of the other National and International organizations.
Clinical Excellence & Patient Care
Promotion of knowledge and expertise among the Interventional Cardiologists of Bangladesh to raise the standard of intervention practice for the better management of cardiac patients.
National & International Cooperation
Promotion of co-operation and communication with the National and International organizations in the field of intervention and allied principles.
Training Courses & CME Programs
To organize training course and continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for the members of the society and other doctors.
Scientific Seminars & Workshops
To organize scientific seminars and workshops to carry out educational activities and to discuss professional problems.
Journal & Medical Publications
To publish Journal, newsletter on interventional cardiology and distribute the Journal/newsletter among the members of the society and interested persons.
Global Conference Participation
To promote participation of members of the Society in national and international conferences/training programs on Interventional cardiology and allied discipline.
High Standard of Education & Training
To establish and enunciate high standard of education and training in Interventional Cardiology.
Founding History of BSCI
On 1st February 2003, a 'General Meeting' was held in Xenial Restaurant, Road# 27, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1000; and the concept of Bangladesh Society of Cardiovascular Intervention (BSCI) was discussed by Prof. Sufia Rahman. This was accepted in the 'General Meeting' in the presence of 21 renowned Interventional Cardiologists of Bangladesh. Accordingly a "Founding Convening Committee" was formed to establish the society's constitutional framework and scientific governance.

From its founding General Meeting on February 1, 2003, BSCI has grown into Bangladesh's apex cardiovascular intervention body, representing over 460 active interventional cardiologists nationwide and fostering world-class patient care.
Foundation of BSCI
Formed on February 1, 2003 at Xenial Restaurant, Dhanmondi, creating the non-political, non-profit society of intervention specialists.
Constitution Adopted
The official Constitution of BSCI was unanimously adopted on April 28, 2004, codifying membership and ethical standards.
Official Monogram
The prestigious Monogram and emblem of BSCI was formally adopted on August 7, 2005, reflecting identity and dedication.
Inaugural "BD Intervention"
Launched the premier annual international scientific summit, hosting expert live case broadcasts and hands-on catheter workshops.
First Publication of BJCI
Inaugurated the Bangladesh Journal of Cardiovascular Intervention, promoting peer-reviewed cardiovascular research globally.
Simulation & Fellowship
Integrated virtual cardiac simulators and expanded nationwide fellowship programs for next-generation interventionists.
